Skiing at Mammoth

While we were in Cali last week, Rob and I took a trip up to Mammoth. The drive was incredible. You'd see people golfing in shorts and 20 min later there was 8ft of snow on the ground.

This was a shot of Rob from the lift over one of the bowls. Its tough to tell from the camera phone, but we were skiing in powder up to our waists. Wild stuff.

All skiable terrain, so awesome:

The small spec in the center of this pic is Rob:

This is the peak, standing at over 11,000 ft.
The tallest mountain in VT is only 4300 ft.

Putting the Crib Together

The other night we put the crib together. Well, I use the term "we" lightly....

...eating italian ice...

...sleeping...

...in bed.

When we moved in, the 2nd room was already painted with baby colors. Unfortunately, they aren't the baby colors that we want, so our next project is to re-paint this room. Again, I use the term "we" lightly ;)

Max and Maggie are very happy with their new playground:

Its Easier to ask for Forgiveness than for Permission

This first picture always makes us laugh.

When Rachel was in labor with Abby, we went to the hospital waiting room. When we got there, there was a partition blocking the entrance with a sign on it that said to use the waiting room on the other side of the floor. After reading the sign, dad's lack of willingness to follow strict hospital rules kicked in to high gear as he moved the partition to the side and sat right down. His words to live by, "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission."

Hiking in CT

Last fall we went for a hike in Meridan and took some lovely pictures.

Enjoy....

Look at that gorgeous smile !!!

That's Sleeping Giant Park in the background. You can find the giant in those hills.

From here, you can see Long Island and Massachusetts.

This is where we're going to teach Michael how to handglide.
