I'm...Dreaming...of a Whiiiiiite...Halloween

2 days before Halloween, the weatherman said we'd get some rain.

But we got snow

...and more snow

Until every tree in CT did this

...and broke through power lines and roofs

and caused CT to cancel Halloween.

But that didn't stop us.

At first, Mikey was going to be a box of cereal for Halloween.

Then he wanted to be Elmo.

Then he wanted to be a case of cheap beer.

Finally, he decided to be an astronaut playing in the snow

& Emi was a ladybug

...and everyone was happy.

Happy Snowy Halloween!

Catching up on some Sesame Street.

With no pants on.

It Doesn't Hurt

The brother / sister feud begins....

Christmas in September

Remember when stores didn't start selling Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving? Well those days are gone. We were in the store the other day when Mikey looks over and starts yelling, "Snowman! Snowman!". And there it all is. A snowman, Santa and reindeer, and all the best fake Christmas trees.

When you break it down Christmas is a fun time of year, so why not celebrate it for 5 months?

Around 6am, we usually wake up to find Mikey has made his way into our bed. On this particular morning we wake to find out that he's not in our bed. He's not in his bed either. Go downstairs. Fridge is wide open. Cupcakes are missing. He managed to sneak downstairs and polish off 7 mini-cupcakes before the 6am alarm. Clever little devil.

Come on Irene

Hurricane Irene came through today, giving us a perfect opportunity to update the blog. Really, the hurricane didn't do much more than dump a bunch of rain. Kind of a disappointment when you're geared up for this crazy storm. I saw a guy at Home Depot yesterday buying 50 gallons of water. 50 gallons ?!?! What is it about storms that makes people so dehydrated?

Anyway, Max just gave us the "okay" to go outside.

Here are the rest of the shots from the "Johnson Family Vacation"

(some resemblance to the Grizwald family vacations)

Fun on the hammock.

Nothing like having two beautiful girls on each side of ya.

May-May's bliss.

Mary and Mikey.

Together again.

"Uh..I don't know about this Mary"

"Yep, that's enough. I'm all done."

Papi's got his hands full.

Happy Naomi and Aunt Esther.

7 kids + under age 5 = nap time.

Mary saying goodbye.

Mikey cleaning up the joint.

Leah and Emi.

Leah and Joey.

Mikey and his new friend, Luke.

Eating goldfish and watching a 3D movie.

Does life get any better?

Mmmmmm....chocolate covered pretzel.

Emi's first solid food.

Emi's first time in the jumper.

Sleeping in the big bed!

"Done with breakfast, now lets go swimming!"

Checking out the place.

Out like a light

Mikey and Emi have been swimming at

the Henderson's a lot this Summer.

Always lots of drama when its time

to get out of the pool though.

Watching two kids...piece of cake.
