The story of Emily Grace coming into this world: On Monday, April 4th, Jess had a scheduled C-Section. Since Mikey paved the way, they're all C-Sections after his journey. At 12:28pm, weighing 8lbs 8oz and 21 inches long, Emily was introduced to a team of 8 doctors and nurses, and then to her dad and mom.

The doctors are in the background removing the placenta and stitching up Jess. If anyone doesn't mind the sight of blood and ever has the opportunity to watch a C-Section, I highly recommend it...its good stuff.

Whenever we go to a restaurant with Mikey, we estimate a countdown until disaster strikes and the fit begins. When Emily began her physical, you could guess pretty well: 5, 4, 3....

2, 1....boom:

And the world is back at peace.

One of the greatest parts of Emily being born on 4/4/11: it was the day that the Uconn men won the NCAA basketball championship. She didn't get to see much of the game, but she'll be hearing about it for the rest of her life.
Mikey's first look.

"What do you mean we're bringing her home!"

Crazy cousin Ali.

Some people complimented Emily's nice skin color. Others looked at our pasty white skin tone and asked what the mailman looks like. But Emily is just showing signs of jaundice.

8lbs 8oz isn't small....

But it sure looks it compared to big Mikey (both at 4 days old).

Aunt Esther and cousin Naomi came out from Cali to visit.
Another perfect baby.

Aunt Esther's beautiful roses.

Which Max especially enjoyed.
Many more pics and videos to come!
